M1a2 and yet more wrong parts supplied sooooo

Hi all

As some of you may remember I grabbed an abrams from nitrotek about two months ago
and we penny it turned up one of the road wheel arms was wrong in that it was from the opposite side
nitrotek very kindly after a week sent me a complete arm and road wheel

so today I opens the parts packs to do some pre conversion inspection be for I start to build my version
of the abrams M1a2 only to find that the side storage basket frame are both right handed as to one left and one right ...for god sake heng long get it right .....




SO faced with a choise of spending hours Triyng to get nitrotek to replace the wrong part ..or improving my Chinese I though bugger it and too to a pair of snippets and some brass wire ...as I figured it would be alot simpler and look alot more correct as the HL baskets frame are way over scale in thickness

Results below ...now to the rear basket ...

Not a hard job to do but If you do it to you M1 ..just take time ..as tye supports are flimsy
To say the least ...I drilled out with a 1mm drill..Then followed with a 1.5mm drill
The brass rod is 1.5mm ..
