Review of Trumpeter 1/16th Panzer IV.H
Hi all,
Well this is a review of the Trumpeter Panzer IV.H. First off the kit is 1st class detail is good grey plastic not too soft. Lots of photo etch some very small so you need good eyes!. Comes with a full load out of shells 3 types HE/AP/HEAT. Metal gun barrel all periscopes in clear plastic. The tracks are the same as model kaston type not desprued so a lot of clean up to do there but once built they are very strong!!. I have changed my ones for metal ones this gives a bit of weight to the model but is not nessasery. The other thing is you do not get a full painting guild for the inside detail this is a bad omission on trumpeters part the only coulors you get are red oxide and interior White so some good reference books are a must. You get a full engine and gear box plus the small Aux motor for the power turret and the like.you need to scratch build a few bit and bobs for the engine but most of it is hidden both hatches are removable.i have almost Finnishd my kit I'm just waiting for my paint to get here. I have used MIG AMMO Paints they have just got the late war coulous out.You have 4 tanks numbers to chose from they range from 1943 in Italy to 1945 in Germany. So would I recommend this kit YES if you still like to build static kits witch I do. Is it worth the £199! Yes I think so but I think that it will be discounted soon!!. I will get some more photos on before I paint the kit. The inside is done just the shells to paint! There's sooooo many of them.plus the tool clasps to make up but they will be the last bits I do after the paint is on.so that's about it if you want a good project this is for you toy won't regret it. Hop this is the first of many reviews be nice to have them in one place be RC or static. Brian...

Well here's how far I am with my Trumpeter Panzer IV Ausf.H. Top coat of, MIG AMMO DUNKELGELB,AUS44 DG111. You will see that it is much lighter than normal this was the shade they used from AUS 1944. The crews put the camo on when they got the tank.here are some photos before the brown/green go on. Brian...
