Hi All,
Well its Official  I have booked the Gonerby Social Club for our first get together.
The Date is Sunday 8th March 10.00am doors open untill 16.30pm Doors close.
For the purpose of booking and Insurance Quotation I have given the Club the Name of :-
Grantham Light Armoured Division RC model Tank Club.
Obviously this name is open for discussion/Change if so desired.
But for the fun of it that makes us the G.L.A.D. RC tank club and so after the M.A.D. club (Manchester Armoured Divivsion) at Manchester and the B.A.D. club (Bristol Armoured Division) at Bristol , I'm personelly so G.L.A.D. :haha: to welcome all to a hopefully our first of many club meetings.
The Address is as Follows:- Great Gonerby Social Club,
8 High Street,
Great Gonerby,
Nr Grantham,
Lincs,
NG31 8JP
For those of you coming from the south or the north on the A1 come of the A1 at the Gonerby Moor Services and take the B1174 to Gonerby and Grantham, you climb up the hill to the top and enter the village of Great Gonerby(approxiamately 1 Mile from the A1). In the village you will see the Pub "Recruiting Sargent" on your left about 25 yards further on your left is the Gonerby Social Club. There is plenty of parking at the back which is also where you will enter the hall.
If you are coming from the EAst on the A52 you go straight through the town centre and follow signs for the A1 /B1174 Gonerby. Or from the West on the A52 you can come into Grantham and at the traffic lights turn left and again follow the signs for the B1174 to Gonerby again you climb up the hill into Gonerby and go past the church on your right and about 150m on your right is a Small shop and just past that is the Social Club.
I will try and make a couple of bridges and some tree,s for the first meeting to make driving the tanks a bit more intresting, But we will see how things go after that.
The club is happy to go for either the first or the second sunday of each month as a regular meet providing everthing is hunky dory at our first meet.
See you there
Regards Denzil
