Devo F4 POV radio/receiver

Post by MichaelC »

Hi all,

Finally got my Devo F4 FPV radio and receiver working on my HL Leo A6. I have permanently installed the Devo 04 camera inside the targeting system cover so it is immediately to the right of the main gun. Because I only have the Devo F4 so I have to manually turn the camera recording on and off. Hopefully when Freaky gets me the F7 I will be able to turn on and off recording using the radio GEAR switch.

This is just shot in my backyard. Waiting for the next battle day to do some battle scene recording. I have also tried using the same battery for both the camera and the tank (It is separate in this video) and it gives a great fuzzy effect when the main gun fires (Just like the real thing !) but unfortunately is also gives the same fuzzy effect when the motors start drawing power so I am leaving them separate.

Check it out !

Much cleaner than the parking lot video Michael. The video is very clean even when firing. So does it still fuzzy in display when you fire but not on the video?

Jussek,

I have not look into it. The reason it was rotated was because I have to lift the tank upper hull open to turn on/off the recording since it is not set-up on the radio yet (Start/stop of recording). The camera is fixed on the targeting box and is oriented right side up. I have wondered myself as to whether you can rotate the optics or not but have not seen anything in the documentation.

dgsselkirk,

No, once I separated the battery source I have not experience any distortion at all from the motor or the main gun firing.

Jussek,

Just hooked up my Boscam LCD5802 to the Devo transmitter and it has a 180 flip built-in to the LCD.
