cheers sir,i did not know those parts were cast metal and so i have fixed it hahaha
i may add battle damage as the build goes along but i will mainly stick to weathering the model as i do not want to start bending fenders and so on on this kit,,but lets see how it goes

Now for a question
You see the strip light on the left rear hull? what colour did it light up and was it all the strip that lit or only parts of it due to some sort of cover like the front headlight?
I am asking because i am going to have the headlight lit and so i could lite this tube as well,,,maybe.

Also,has anyone got a pic that looks strait in to the turret via the rear hatch,,it must be taken as if standing on the back of the tank?
The reason is i plan to add a scale photograph (if i can get one) of the inside of the turret that can be seen through the open hatch.(the pic is scaled down and mounted on a false wall inside the turret)

There's a member...Scalawag who found some fine examples of working convoy lights ...a little pricey...but nice...in the photos of the tanks which he installed them on they glow blue ....I copied them by using TX antenna housing and sprue on the end caps with blue plastic for the lens ...mine work as well... so you have a couple of choices at hand

the one thing I did notice was there is a variation to the lens Scalawag's Tigers were oval... the Panzer square... my L70 rectangular ...not sure what the shape for the KT is

Yeah, the ones from Heike are great, just don't expect them to turn up quickly

On a KT the tubular version would be the correct one, the rectangular version is seen on Pzr IIIs and IVs.

There is some debate about whether these should be green or blue. This is largely due I think to the distinct lack of surviving examples.

Personally I prefer blue. but with the kit from Heike it is easy enough to use a different lens colour if you prefer green

Blue does make more sense lol..... though if they were green it's understandable that there aren't many surviving examples... the drivers see green... so the go... crashing into the tank in front of them and smashing the light

This is what I have on my Pzr III. I believe they were used on soft skin vehicles too.
The info on the front Notek will be useful too as I have a working version on route for the front of my Pzr III.

Over the years on a number of Tank websites the question of the colour of Tank convoy light colours in the German armed forces in the second world war has been argued and in respect of the Tiger 1/2 I have yet to see conclusive evidence of what the actual colour was, I think that ALPHA's arguement may well have some value and BLUE certainly would be my favourite, but if DAVID is unable to offer proof we are left to our own choice or the colour of the LED in the upgrade, so it's chocks away lads, whose for Pink? shaun

Meanwhile i have installed all the radio and dmd stuff and tested it.
all is fine and works well with the spektrun dx6i apart from when the wire marked m.gun is connected to the rx in any slot.i get the sound of the gun moving up or down with no control over it by moving the rx stick yet the turret rotation sound works fine.I did the calibration again but still the same with all trims set neutral.Could this be because the turret and all it contains is not connected yet?

Update,,the transmitter has a faulty pot on the elevator and so it will have to back under warranty
This is why i was getting the sound of the gun moving but no control over it.

I believe 131 just has the bracket for the convoy light, but not the light itself. I think looking at the bracket it is for the tubular design of light that we seem to have much less accurate information on. Here is a pick of 131 I took earlier in the year at the April Tiger day
