1942 Beute' Panzer KV-2 754(r) 'Crackerbox Palace'

Just like the title says. ;o) Torro offers a close clone of this tank completed with deluxe paint and IR and an ( Asiatam? ) metal lower hull, tracks and running gear. I have always noted that the fun is in the build and even Torro's excellent machine will need attention to the Devil that is detail. Without further ado, it is 1942 in Italy and you are here to see one of the Soviet Union's biggest war machines as re-imagined by the Wehrmacht. The Build thread is here: viewtopic.php?f=23&t=12930:

Thanks! ;o) I ran the tank so far away along the sidewalk that it was hard to make out with the zoom. It turned around and came right back with no issues. I really love the 2.4 GHz sets. The neighbor lady across the street came out laughing and pointing it out to her son. The rock is a nice piece of gneiss *ducks* that we found on a drive some years back and manhandled home to display. This is one of the first times that I've had so much fun with a tank that I ran the battery low while playing. The track action can only be described as sinuous and the slight rock to starts and stops is smile inspiring.

Very nice Painless......... It is a bit of a monster the KV-2. What is the message on the turret ? Also I have always wondered but it is just an ammo rack at the back plate and not a set of rockets is it ?

The language is German and is the name of the tank, Crackerbox Palace! That is a spare ammo rack on the back added by those self same Germans. ;o) Thank you!

It sure looks great in the environment. The camo is so effective, I could barely see it. Did I see that you set this one up with IR battle system?

The KV2 looks great Painless. I really like the camo job on this one it has come out very well indeed.

If you think the stock 2.4Ghz systems are great (which they are, and a big improvement over the 27Mgh crystal sets), you would be amazed at the hobby grade boards that are out there. They are mostly plug and play in H/L or Taigen tanks these days, so are no more difficult to install than swapping an RX18. They offer lots more options in terms of control, sounds, and extras. Ok they do cost a little more, but worth every penny in my book.

As I said, Love what you have done with this one and pleased to see you having so much fun with it.

Outstanding modelling skills Painless I’ve been watching your build and you should be a mighty proud man in producing such a sharp looking tank.
