Don't think you were here at the time I did this one Herman...but this is an economical way to do wing nuts... they don't operate but the imagery is there ;)

brass wire with two beads of solder ...filed... did the job quite nicely

I did consider doing solder ones. Will see how the mood takes me.
Have the next project turn up today along with the new Tiger tracks. Comparing the H/L metal tracks to these ones is night & day.
Glad I made the $58 investment............they just seem so much more ;'right'

Now I have something to use one set of Winterketten on at least. Got tensioners as well Just in case.
Steel drives & idlers, shocks, H/D springs, will be getting metal roadwheels & gear set next available.

Herman, Hi, You probably know this already, but HENG LONG PANZER 111s and PANZER 4s share lots of parts which makes it a lot easier, Tracks (PZ111 uses fewer links thats all) CUPOLA, HEADLIGHTS ( some variants are different) NORTEK running light and a lot more. Hope it helps. shaun
I think I am about to upset someone :haha:

Have to agree with Shaun on this ...Panzer IIIs and IVs are fun to work on...the IIIs have a lot of parts floating around....the only thing I didn't care for much were the molded on tooks...tough to deal with because of the diamond plate texture on the fenders....think you will have fun with that one Herman... :D
Let me know when you're installing those tensioners.. they're really good ... but a little tricky ;)

Well, im not going to start a guessing game, so here it is. Natural progression really.
Got options, but the basic concept is similar to one of these.
I will begin another build topic soon..................

I saw the tread plate pattern on the guards & was overcome with a wry smile !
This time, youre not going to get me H/L tank plant !
Gave it a test run & it was a ripper.
I already have a plan for the spare turret by the way :O

Yeah those tools are really something Heng Long could reconsider... both the PanzerIII and IV...are plagued with them....sounds like you did some gun work before... what I'm going to try later on is some checkering ...I think plastic should peel away as easy as wood ;)

And you should start a new subject thread...this looks like R&D to me :haha:
