Well, friday finished as most others, rushed home to watch the Friday night Super rugby from the first day of sons State Cup champs.
Just didnt get into it as normal.
Wife mumbles something about feeling a bit sore etc, I put it down to dragging around a Rugby tournament the whole day.![]()
Yep, 2330hrs shes got the pain going on.
No normal pre-birth action though
take a panadol I say, you'll be right.![]()
Anyway................daughter born 0532hrs Saturday 5th July (here) 4th july in the U.S. !!
10 days early, she seems impatient this one.
Ive just got back from several days in the hospital & thought I would share the news.
Better move it lads, my other 'hobby' has to get more clothes & I have washing to do![]()
Funny though, this model kid doesnt need any moving of parts, no need for extras, seems to have a strong gearbox fitted already and will still cost the same to run!!!!

all the best Mr Bix

Re: "WHITE TIGER"
Thanks for the warm regards lads, my unit commander did an outstanding job & we are just now starting to get some sort of routine going.
Ive been putting in on my end so I got the Green to get outside & do a little bit.
Sealed the base coat. Decided not to weather before sealing as the WW will cover much, and the usual dark mud & snow effect on the running gear will go on at the end.
Got a can of VO5 hairspray, apparently this stuff is good. Im sure it is- for HAIR
Well, I committed myself and let er rip.................................
the once mighty Tiger has now got more gloss on it than a turd after an olive - oil based tapas trio
!!!!!!!!!
And it smells like a cheap whores handbag
Its done though, and thats all she wrote.
I am letting it dry well and truely then I can do the WW.
In keeping with the details of the technique, and taking a leap of faith that this unit with these tanks had good support, I will use an airbrush to apply the WW so as not to "reactivate the hairspray" (all the research mentions this)
Something about a brush and paint being to 'wet' for the idea to be as effective and controlled as required.
Anyho, pics of my 'Fabio' hair model

Hey Herman... thanks for the update.... must really be a task to find free time with the new addition to your family back in the house... it isn't like me to put any pressure on a fellow builder.... but I do hope to see this done before theres a first birthday celebration

Re: "WHITE TIGER"
Ha !!.............Im way to impatient to wait a year mate, the house is sold as well, so we will be on the move shortly.
Gave the VO5 "volume & Lift"!! product a couple of hours to cure outside in an ambient 23 Deg/C (73F) which is a nice day if a little gusty.
Decided to live life the 'Nike' way and "Just Do It" (thanks to Nike for the use of the slogan as a simple descriptive
)
Punched the XF2 into the pot, thinned 60-40% and hit the toggle.
Did little ocillations with the brush in the likely areas that anyone would have done to cover an area fairly quickly, and not being to hung up on even coverage. I started on the rear so as to give myself a chance to pull the ripcord if it just didnt gel.
I did not wait for decals to arrive as there are none evident in the subject picture that I can see, and the vehicle throughout its future had them in different places. Not even any crosses visible either.
Honestly, Im much more at ease now than I was after the damn hairspray.......................that gave me the sinking feeling.
Now flushed with optimism, I will push on with all the bits , tools etc and dry brush where necessary to blend them in.
As its said, the "fat lady " has not sung, and I still have to get the damp brush out & do the hairspray thing properly to see if it has worked for me, but so far , so good.

Re: "WHITE TIGER"
The outside V's inside pics do vary a lot, and to look at it is better than it photographs.
Its 'new' white unweathered at the moment, but it will be getting the dirty treatment and the brush has yet to go over the white.
The subject pic is quite white in places, but very grey in others, so by the time I take the similar patches off the barrel, the usual crew access areas, add the helmets and the pole & mud up the drive train he should be close.
The cam pattern is very visible under the WW, and the uneven coverage should brush off quite well once I get to it.
time will tell.
Still smells like my Mrs does when she gets ready to go out but !! , and that folks is partially to blame for getting me into my latest predicament if you know what I mean
