I recently found these pics of the Jagdpanther recovered by the Sdkfz Foundation and subsequently restored to running condition.

As you can see it looks as if at least two of these vehicles were recovered from a British Army range, having been there since the 70's (judging by the uniforms!) The Sherman ARV presumably belonged to whoever recovered it!

I believe that, like the Bovington Jagdpanther (and Panther) these were assembled immediately post-war by the British in the original factories for test purposes.

It's a shame that these tanks aren't more visible on the internet (or perhaps we should feel relieved that there are still some mysteries that can't be resolved through the click of a mouse).

Does anyone know more about these guys? There doesn't seem to be an official website of any note...

Good Morning,
It is great to see restorations being done on this level, ( basically take an empty chassis and hull and build a tank )! I also note the quality of the builds that we do on this forum because the first thought that entered my mind upon viewing the Engine Compartment pic was "Wow!, nice job on the rear deck!" ;o)
regards,
Painless
