OPERATION ISKRA

The first Can-Am Club event of the year!!!

The Club is hosting a Get Together and Indoor Battleday
on Sunday February 16th 2014 from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm
at the Edelweiss Tavern - 600 Doon Village Road in Kitchener.

This is the same place as our get together in December was held.
We will be located in the big hall, so there will be room for some battles, so be prepare.




Hey Guys,

I hope this works for everyone! We chose this Sunday because Monday is the holiday so most shouldn't have to worry about working the next day. In your excitement to commence battle once again, those of you with significant others don't forget to pay on Valentine's Day on the Friday so you can come and play on the Sunday!!!

The Edelweiss was very kind last time and let us have this hall for free to try it out and make sure everyone was happy with it. They are charging us a reasonable fee about a third of what they normally charge (Lorne is an old friend) and when you consider heat, hydro, and the labour it takes to move all the seats and tables for 300 out of the way and then set it all back up when we are done they are treating us pretty fair.

Of course there will be the same great food and service experienced by all those who attended last time.

I am happy to announce that we will have a draw for 2 gift certificates of $25.00 each from Curtis at Immortal Hobbies. Thanks Curtis!

Also I will be giving away one of my brand new T-shirt designs to some lucky winner! Everybody is going to want one of these! (Yes, you will be able to buy them through the club)

As always we also will be having a 50/50 draw to help support the club.

We promise this time to have a few organized battles. More on that later!

Please indicate as soon as you can if you will attend so we have an idea of the numbers. I know right now 3 or 4 new guys from my area will be attending to check it out.

So come on out and shake off some winter blahs, enjoy some good food, a beverage or two, and the odd shot across your bow!
