Hey painless... this has nothing to really do with your build... but I couldn't help noticing and liking how you keep things in order with those black containers...and it just struck me... do you eat a lot of microwavable products ?

Good Morning,
Alpha, three microwaves in the house including one down in the theatre for popcorn and yet, oddly enough, no. We do not eat a lot of microwave specific chow. They are mostly used for reheating leftovers. The containers are from the Chinese eatery over in the shopping center. The tubs make great stackable parts storage.
Happy Holidays

21st Day: Nothing in the Post today. After a brief flare of excitement over the possibility of finding an IR turret, it's back to Airsoft again. At least the gun on this turret is a cracking good one. I stood in line and got Holiday stuff and Tank related stuff sent out. All should arrive by Christmas Eve. Nothing picture worthy today so we'll try to set aside time for more personal fun tomorrow.

Glad to hear about the micro food... as you might tell I used to eat a lot of the pasta offerings... reason I recognized the similar container ..that stuff is rather nasty lol... but at times something to fall back on...don't do it anymore... can't really... too much salt
Hope you had fun at your Family gathering this weekend...though us fans miss the updates on your build

Hey Painless... I have a hunch Diesil's Sherman was a tease.... in the link he provided..though the listing said IR... the description was telling... said it included bbs and could fire so many feet...so I wouldn't feel too disappointed...PainlessWolf wrote:21st Day: Nothing in the Post today. You're changing out the electrics anyway aren't you? isn't there an IR unit that hooks into that rig?
Have a good one Painless

Re: 1944 M4A3 105mm
22nd Day: UPS delivered Christmas Goodies I had ordered for others but no USPS today. I managed to steal a few minutes while making dinner to make a handle for the lower Engine Bay door. I had already removed the molded on slab that HL used for a handle so all that was required was to find or make a replacement. I counted up what I had in spares and what Schumo sent and I had 4 handles, enough for the turret and front hatches. No love for the needed fifth handle. No problem. I had learned this trick from Wibbly-Wobbly and used it before on my HL King Tiger which had also come with molded on hatch handles. I grabbed a small drywall brad and clipped off the head. Then I used two pair of needle nose pliers and bent it into a reasonably scale handle. A measurement and a twist with a #61 and yankee drill for a pilot hole were followed up with a 1\16 bit. A couple of drops of glue and the handle was installed and ready for eventual painting. Pictures:
