Rx 18 + Rear lights
Rx 18 + Rear lights
Hi Chaps
Does anyone know where the rear lights connect to the RX18 unit. I have just changed my old RX13 or 14 unit for a new RX18, and do not know where to connect the rear lights?
Any ideas?
Regards
Phil

Phil,
You need to wired it to the headlights. You might need a resistor but if you are converting from an existing one it should have it already. There is no separate plug for the rear light.

Thanks Michael. Only problem on my Pershing is that the front lights ar atached to the upper hull and the rear lights are attached to the bottom hull. Dare day I will think of something. I always do!

Re: Rx 18 + Rear lights
Hi, new here & doing the same thing. This is NOT confirmed as of yet but I believe the red/black wires from the rear lights can be connected to the green & white wires of the hull 8-pin connector.red is +ve & should probably go to the green & black to the white to maintain polarity.
Feel free to double check me though.

Good afternoon,
Using an MFU ( Taigen or HL ) which has the two pin port for Rear Lights allows you to do something simple and avoid the rewiring altogether.

Sorry to appear dense (probably because I am), but this plug with this polarity?
Just confirming 100%, thanks.

Done!
Works great, but startup is "different". No flashing just waits to complete power up & start sequence then comes on. No biggie but if you do the mod don't panic if there's a 3~4 sec delay on startup & only the headlights flash now.
