Re: Panzer Spirit Build 2022 - ?
Good morning, Eric!
I have a picture in my mind ( sort of like Marvels old Green Goblin ) that I will work out a 4 color stencil for from Rad. Putting thought today into getting this smoking barrel gizmo to work. Swapped the Upper on the Jagdpanther last night and of course, will need new AAs for the transmitter. *laughs*
regards,
Painless

Painless,
Oh, I like that!
I think Marvel's old Green Goblin would be just about perfect! It has that long, narrow, evil looking face that I too pictured in my mind. Complete with that sardonic grin!
I think we're on the same wavelength here! Carry on! Carry on!
Cheers,
Eric.

Re: Panzer Spirit Build 2022 - ?
Some extra fun to add to the Build Thread. After the Commander's Hatch, the biggest issue encountered was the IR pre-wired Upper from Taigen\Torro. It was sort of a perfect storm of minor problems that were not resolved until I had sussed out a bad Transmitter ( Bond button was not working ) for which I had a spare ( thankfully ) along with dead batteries and then having to resort to the Lipo to power the whole setup. A couple of Forum members had seen this in action before and yes, this kind of special effect in an RC tank has a ways to go before it's perfection but at least steps are being made and new ideas tried out. I rounded out the couple of days work with adding some detail to the 50 Cal and installing the radio antenna for the Sherman.

Herman!
A Happy Anniversary to you and the Missus!
Thanks for looking in on the Build(s) My stuff is pretty ordinary compared to the amazing flat pack and 3D print builds that modern Tech is bringing to the Hobby. Following along on the newest StuG build of yours. I'm enjoying the bit by bit construction of the vehicle.
regards,
Painless

Herman,
A belated Happy Anniversary to you and the Wife! I find marriage to be pretty easy to live with, it's the Mother in Law that's the problem! Just saying.
Cheers,
Eric.

Just finished reading the book. Kind of off the back of what you are building. Daft in a good sort way. When can we see the next instalment of the build? And how are you going to represent the claws on the tracks?

Good Morning, Ian,
Back when I first started building and posting to the Forum, I would put up a page every night of pics and progress. Took up a lot of space and time. As the friends I built with moved on, I 'modded' my posting behavior. I save up a couple of pages of pics and do a post maybe once every couple of weeks. Next one is due soon. My tank builds are all outdoors runners so the claws on the Jagdpanthers tracks will have to remain imaginative for now. I'll give it some thought tho'. It will be enough to have the tank light up in spectral blue with Von Norden in the Commanders hatch. ;o) Thank you for looking in.
regards
