Evening, Gentlemen (and Mark!) (and lady if Lily is reading!!),

Thought that I'd join the forum so that I'm available for questions, etc, regarding the Manchester meet as I'm one of the guys that owns the building & Mark & Gary spoke to to set up the meeting.

For those that were there last month, we have now topped up the fuel tank, so the heater blows out lots of nice hot air to keep everyone warm!

For those of you wanting to know more about us, http://www.emhg.co.uk will take you to our website. At the moment, it's largely stuff about the building being refurbished, but I'm updating it with other stuff including a "users" page where I'll put something up about you guys... Gary, Mark (or anyone else for that matter), do you have any nice words that you would like me to use???

For those that haven't seen the building, but have seen the words "old", "Scout" and "Hut" used together, let me (hopefully) reassure you a little... yes, it was a Scout building - concrete prefab with steel frame. We purchased it back in 2008 & have spent the last 4 years refurbishing it & almost complete with working heater, non-mouldy toilets & insulation throughout to keep the heat in! The main room where the gaming takes place is 25ft x 50ft (so make sure that batteries well charged!) & outside are two areas each of which are around 100ft x 30ft which, if de-rubbled & grass cut short could be used... 'though that would be at your own risk... we have occasionally seen lots of frogs & so the thought of a Panther being taken over by Kermit does appeal!!

All we ask are that a few simple rules are followed...
1. Leave the building as tidy (or tidier) as you find it
2. Only park either on our driveway (room for 7 cars if parked sensibly!) or on main road... not on road leading to our building
3. Keep noise down when outside so that neighbours not disturbed too much (most are ok... one is a pain!)
4. Before doing any work or arranging to do (I know that you're thinking of putting down some roadways outside), just check with us, first (one of us will be there for insurance purposes, anyway, so that should be easy enough!)
5. If something doesn't work / goes wrong / etc, please let us know
6. Enjoy yourselves

We've a "proper" rent agreement which we'll sort out later, but we're looking forward to a long & happy relationship...

And there are plenty of other military & model related events happening through the month, so you'd be more than welcome at those as well.

Cheers
Colin
