Greatest Tank Battles

Post by oldfeller »

Hi All

Not a film, but thought I would let you.

Tonight 9.00pm on Discovery Channel.

A look at how Hitler ordered hundreds of Panzers
to defend Germany's borders in September 1944
in an attempt to halt the US third Army's advance.

Its showing on different days and times.

Ah someone else has seen this! I got it on the series link thing on sky at my girlfriends parents house :shh:
Have you seen the 'battle of the bulge part 1' in the series? There is a part where some shermans are ambushed by Jagdtigers, but they showed them as jagdpanzer 4s  . I just had to email the people who made it to let them know

Hi Markofollo

Not seen the " Battle of the Bulge " yet.

Great spotting the wrong tanks  .

Have you had a email from them yet, it would be interesting
to see what they have to say, " let me know ".

Was going to say something witty about your :shh: at you girl
friends house, but I thought :silent: .

Lol!
I emailed discovery channel 1st to find out who made it, they informed me it was 'Breakthrough films and television' of Toronto. Sent them an email, still no reply a week later. I have yet to see the other ones in the series, gota go up home ways at some point and arrange for her parents to go out so I can watch 'em :haha:
The sherman m4a3 in that program looked really bad too, I hope all their other digitally animated tanks look as good as the rest did!
Cheers,
Dave
