German field kitchen

Post by Model Builder 4 »

Morning all,

A couple of pics of another project that I'm currently working on, I'd like to give a big thank you to Will ( Will01capri ) for printing me one of his superbly designed field kitchen's, he even made an extra effort to make the parts needed to make it into an horse drawn version for me. There's still a bit of work to do as in making the parts of the harnesses to connect to the limber wagon and then I can move on to painting it all

Cheers, Lee. ImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImage

Thank you Wayne, Will did an amazing job designing the field kitchen, I've been helped a lot by you 3D printing wizards on here so thank you. It's been a fun little project to work on, making the harnesses for the horses was a bit fiddly though :D I've got a few extras coming for it including some pots to decorate it a bit, I'll add some updated pics when I get it painted

Cheers, Lee.

I bought the horses from Ebay Wayne, I also got the leather strips and fittings to make the harnesses off there too

These are how the horses came when I bought them Wayne, and a pic of the leather and fittings that I used to make the harnesses and some food items that I've started making :D

I do believe we went through a "Soup Cannon" phase a few years ago
I know that an Army marches on its stomach but the fascination for field kitchens never took hold in my model building heart.
I suppose that dining on curry's heated over a "Hexamine" burner took away my enjoyment of eating in the field :lolno:
I think I am about to upset someone :haha:

Don't worry Shaun, if the field kitchen isn't scratching your itch :D I'm working on a couple of other projects that may be of more interest to you in the next few weeks

Cheers, Lee.
