I was looking through some old photographs and came across these two images of my semi-scale model of the Type 23 frigate. I can't remember the make of the styrene kit but it came complete with a hull, deck and the coamings for the superstructure and took quite a bit of work to detail it to the current standard. It's driven by one propellor and rudder but is tremendously stable on the water. I have just started on WW2 HMS Dido another semi-scale model from a 1/144 scale plan. So it's back to individually laying deck planks again!!

Hi Andy,

Just do it as there are loads of plans and fibreglass hulls for all sorts of ships available on the net. You can do all sorts and add moving guns, smoke units, working helicopters etc.
