USN Anchor Hoy 1819 Scratchbuild

Post by torpedochief »

Here is my miniature Anchor Hoy. the job of the Hoy was to place the anchors of large warships in restricted waters. It would also serve to retrieve anchors lost on the bottom. When not involved in Anchor duty, the Hoy was used for resupply and dispatch. This model is build as a solid hull. It is 6.3 inches long.

This model will be featured in an upcoming issue of The Nautical Research Guild Magazine.
