haha, great job rocketman, maybe you should get one of the rockets... a friend had one, you put a proper rocket fuel cartridge in it and lit the fuse, i would shot up into the air and once the fuel ran out and it started falling down, a parachute pops out!

ah well, great shot anyways matey,

cheers,

matt

yeah you got me , ridgerunner has a sticky prop that was spinning but by the time im all ready is slow enough to appear stopped. My two d-day P-47's are a lot more obliging so shouldnt have that problem at kenley this weekend!  Thats the good thing about Jets!

Nah just a bit of heat haze should do it. Thats what picture editor is for  :)

Keith, do you know they sell Airfix spinning prop motor kits in the Croydon Alders for £2.99? It includes a small motor (about the width of a AAA battery and half the length)  with a decent amount of wire, a metal wire prob to fix to the aircraft prop and what looks like a rubber tube to join it to the motor shaft. Simple and easy to hide, just needs a battery source and maybe a switch.

Allders still going? Blimey

Anyway motor and wire aint the problem, its getting the fuselage apart thats the bugger. The screws are covered over with a plastic cover that in removing would bugger the paint job!  ridgerunner is the only problem aircraft, the two P-47's props spin for ages , more than enough time for the camera to catch the movement.
