Being stuck at home with withe a leg in plaster, following being knocked off my bike, on the way to work, I decided to do some small scale modelling.

Made a start on this. Academy 1/35 ROK, Black Panther. I would like one of these in 1/16.

Thank you for showing your recovery successes--and I wish you more recovery success. You sure are making good use of those cast-ings. :/ Before you cast off, I suggest a 1/35 Abrams, too. And as to those 'idiot's delight' track links, you should have heard one of the Tuesday modeler gang (USMC Vietnam Vet) express his terror when he saw the separate track links on the Tamiya Famo kit. !!! 8O :haha:

Not really into WW2 stuff, but friends bought this as a moving present. The thought of all the PE stuff, looks terrifying.

Enough to keep me occupied for a while.

Oh, indeed, Photo Etch is so much fun. Some years ago I bought one of the other Tuesday modelers a 1/200 USS Hornet with hundreds of photo-etched parts. Ohhh! That was nasty of me: @)

My photo etch skills have greatly improved since using hot air, liquid flux, and liquid solder for soldering. Actually the liquid flux has helped all my soldering with hot air or iron. A specialized PE bending tool has also helped a lot. I bought one like this a few years back; although, it was about $10 cheaper back then:

I checked it out: 45 smackers, bucks, greenbacks. If I really start having trouble with the bending pliers, I may need one. But first, I should probably spend on an eye exam and new glasses (the ones I have now are significantly pre-Covid :problem: ).

I just throw any PE straight onto the floor for the carpet monster. Then make own from the sprue. A least that’s what seemed to happen when I built the 50 cal mg for my Abrams.

I can't even imagine the amount of time I've spent looking for parts on the floor under my bench. I have one of those plastic carpet protectors under my roll around chair so parts will actually bounce off of it and end up all over the place.
