Takom 1/35 kits

Post by Soeren »

Hi there a bit different stuff. 1/35 from the Christmas Black Monday Sale, or was it Friday? At the AmmoMigJimenez page.

For the scope Takom has, the kits look and build fantastic. Did a Chieftain Mk2 and a Type 59 until now. Lovely builds. The Chieftain in particular has a beast look to it. That is what a tank should look like. Here are a few build impressions and the final reveal.

Both tanks got a darker shade base, followed by the proper base colour and followed by highlights in acrylics. Pin washes, filters, pigments, oilpaint dry brushing, oil paint discolorations, pigments. etc.

And the Type 59 painted in russian base green with some Highlights and Abtl. 502 Industrial Earth as a filter.

Finally, work with some more oils, just to try it. It must have been in the fields for a few days. Time to hose it down a bit.

Some fine work there! The smaller scale is just so much more challenging- and to succeed in it, is a real indication of skill.

Thank you both. The Takom kits are nicely detailed out of the box. Painting is great fun on these kits.
