Turnigy Accucell 6.

Post by jarndice »

I have a Turnigy Accucell 6 Battery Charger and it is brilliant at charging Lead Acid Batteries (Model motor Launch),
NiMH/NiCad (Tanks and Trucks),
Lipo (Tanks and Aircraft),
What I would like to know is whether it will take care of a LiOn battery or will I need a new charger?
I think I am about to upset someone :haha:

Hi.
The simple answer is YES IT WILL , plus it will do lithium ferite, lilo and lipo.
You have to change the setting on the user set program settings,
So,
PRESS TYPE / STOP BUTTON UNTIL YOU GET TO USER SET PROGRAM SCREEN
NOW PRESS START BUTTON
If you have been charging lipos previously it should show you
Lipo v type plus 3.7 v ( max cell voltage )

NOW PRESS START BUTTON 3.7V STARTS TO FLASH.
NOW PRESS STATUS BUTTON EITHER + OR - AND IT WILL CHANGE VOLTAGE TO 3.6V FOR LILO OR 3.3 V FOR LIFE AND BACK TO 3.7V FOR LIPO...JUST CYCLE THE BUTTON TO WHAT LIPO, LIFE, LILO WHEN SELECTED THE RIGHT BATTERY SIMPLY PRESS START AND IT LOCKS THE CORRECT BATTERY TYPE AND VOLTAGE INTO THE MACHINE AND CHARGE AS NORMAL..

SIMPLES.
This charger is the best charger i have ever owned.
Regards.

Sub Thank you for that,
With your permission I shall print your text and keep it with my charger,
I agree wholeheartedly about the quality of the charger it's only drawback being a lack of a handbook,
I learnt how to get it up and running from U-Tube
