Slip Ring Question

Post by Jimster »

I’m mounting my TK60s into my Taigen Leopard 2’s turret. I need a slip ring to connect my lower hull wires to the board in the turret. The Taigen slip ring that came with the tank has 18 very small diameter wires for all the little goodies it connected. However now I need one that will handle the bigger gauge wires like the motors and power wires. Plus the two headlight wires, taillight wires and speaker wires. I know that this has been done and I need suggestions from those “in the know” seeing as how how I’m still quite the newbie. I’ve read about folks bundling smaller wires together for the motors but there’s not enough wires to do it all. I want to do this right.

Someone recently posted a link to a company in Taiwan that makes slip rings with a variety of wire combinations/power handling capabilities - I'll see if I can find the link for you mate.
