Hi All.
I have just encountered a funny little problem with wiring.
I put a fully working 2.4 system tx/rx. in my panzer 1v and it functions as it should.
I then transfer the same system over to my torro sturm tiger and hey ho.
Zilch, nadder, bloody nothing !!
I know that the turret wiring is not the same but this was not connected for this test.
So I am at a loss,
I have in both tanks installed forgbears latest wiring on/off switch, loom, which incorporates an extra wire to an outside
charging plug. but cannot see this causing a problem.
Any advice would be welcome.
Cheers Wads.

If you haven't already done so, I'd bypass that new switch and see if it fires up. Just a thought.

Hello, Wads
As Tracks suggested, if no power is getting from the battery to the RX-18 MFU suspect the switch. Try bypassing it with jumpers if you have any. Just a long shot..you haven't perhaps put the battery connector into the wrong socket, have you? Here's a diag to help- I hope:- Perhaps the soldering is loose on the switch, or there's a dry joint. Do you have a multimeter, or simple continuity tester (battery/ bulb and leads...you already have the 7.2 v battery there) to check the connections?
This is how the switch works (with charging point..I found it on an Aussie website 'havoc' something..or other):- Well, hope this all helps... good luck

Hi Guys.
Both switches are fully working, doubly checked out.
But the result is the same, a am waiting on a completely unit to arrive and will check it out then.
but I think that I need to find a wiring diagram for the old torro sturmtiger.
Thanks for the info.
Cheers Wads.

A few suggestions.
Test the board again in the original tank.
If it works, you know that the board is ok.
Re-Install in the new tank.
Only plug in:
The speaker
The volume control, set on mid way point.
The motors
A fully charged battery
Try it again.
If it doesn't work then it has to be the switch or the wiring from the switch.
To confirm this:
If you have a spare battery socket hook the battery directly to an HL 2 pin power plug, ensure that the polarity is correct. You can do this temporarily via a block connector. That way you don't have a switch, the power is going from the battery to the board.
If the board is ok, then it will work, if it does work then you know that the problem is with the switch or the wires/soldering.

Re: taigen to heng long and torro. problem
Hi Everybody, pleased to say that I seem to have cracked it.
My thoughts were that there is a difference in the way that the main switches are wired up, so I took our the old wired switch that came with it, and put in a h.l. wired switch added the new h.l mk3 combo.
And lo there was light, it fired up ,motors ran, and sound , well. sounded !! al I have to do is rewire the motors as they ran backwards, simples.
I also downloaded the images of h.l. diagrams from the web, for further use.
Many thanks for all the advice.
Keep on tanking, (had to be carefull how I typed that).
Cheers Wads.
