The MFU has a lifetime warranty...

Yeah I have a Pershing and jagdpanther where the flash units have stopped would be cool to get them sorted if tamiya will fix them for free but I'm not to fussed

The hobby co who are tamiyas uk distributor have got quite arsey about making repairs. They will only honour the statuary year uk warranty. However rcta have released a mako4 board that interfaces with the tamiya mfu and let's you use servo recoil and an ir led. Aparently you can also use it to hook up the HL hv flash.
