The last pair I bought recently for my Sherman project was from USA .
It was cheaper than buying in te UK even with shipping etc.
I'll try to dig out the paperwork and let you know the site I got them from.

I made the payment to jr-rc, which is Jasons Store, but made payment in US $ and they were cheaper than the £ prices stated on the ebay link above. Its a while ago now so not sure, but is there a US Jasons store ?

Thanks chaps, that's very helpful and means there's little price-wise between the tamiya and ElMod units.

I know ElMod has additional functionality but most I wouldn't use and I prefer the more finished package (i.e casing) of the Tamiya units.

The only bit I would want is the inertia feature and I can get that with a Turnigy chip.

I just purchased a Hooben T55. Need electronics. Everthing I have read says: use Tamiya parts cause the Hooben is crap.

I don't know if its true but I need to know where to buy the Tamiya parts that will make my new tank go.
I live in Canada. I keep searching on ebay and google, but I think I am using the wrong terms.
Any help would be appreciated.

I used Tamiya kv-1 electronics in mine, but it's expensive, probably $270 ish. Clark model does a
T-55 board which is only $60 give you full option function and more, also Tamiya ir battle compatible! Only thing is sound isnt quite Tamiya standard, but it's still decent.
