Tamiya T 03

Post by sevoblast »

Tamiya T 03 in UK.

I have a customer who purchased one of my transmissions for his KT a few months ago. He is new to our hobby but had no problems installing and running the transmission. However, his T 03 has now gone Tango Uniform. He's done the diagnostics and found it is indeed dead. He is not on this forum (yet) but wants to know where he can obtain a working T 03. I have suggested he try EbayUK but no luck there. Is there a source in UK to obtain one of these units?

In a second missive his son in US sent me an image of his unit, seems the center adjustment pot has slipped is't moorings and wandered away.

Given the price of Tamiya electronics perhaps your friend should consider looking at other boards which would be cheaper and more flexible to addons

I've mentioned that course of action to him but he's like me, if it doesn't say Tamiya he's not interested. He's new to the hobby, this is his first tank, plus he's my age, read ancient, and he wants to stick with the system he knows that's plug and play.

:( not a bit expensive, for second-hand? I know it's not easy to find, but new, worth around 200 € here

Agreed and I looked at Axel's for him. Unit is out of stock at the moment. I've emailed his son in US to contact Axel and ask when they expect it back in stock.

I have one here but the last two parcels i sent, early December one to UK and one to US, both took well over two months to wend their way from Moskau to the destination.

I'll send that link to them, too. I don't see anything on the page about not shipping to Merry Olde so it's up to him if they want to try. Worse Seidel can say is no.
