Hi
Finally got another Tami LED, to fit on the Pershing, for 2nd mg, As advised by Ad Lav, yes it does work, though whether it was worth the effort, i don’t know! The MG on the bow is not very bright, owing to the size of the barrell hole I guess. The mantlet gun I just fitted inside the mantlet, and used a piece of clear plastic sprue, pushed into the hole, from the outside, which does give a good effect.
As for connection, I just stripped a few mm of insulation from existing led wires, without cutting through them, and soldered the new wires to the bared ones. If you stagger them, then you can wrap tape round them both without them touching . Keeps the whole thing thinner. It’s an old trick I learned whilst working on boat electronics, you often had to join or extend cables whilst keeping them thin enough to pass through holes, conduit etc.
Anyway, thanks to all.
