Hi, i posted on the general discussion page about my heng long panzer 3 constantly going into endless firing mode, ive got the tank apart and disconnected the wire to the turret and it stopped, trouble is when i reconnected as soon as i went for firing again off it went endlessly again, im assuming the multi function unit is broke, being it old style with a crystal etc and aerial can i easily upgrade and what do i need to buy please, seems a shame to junk the tank as its a metal tracks/gbox/smoke/sound one !

It is a pretty easy changeover to a Heng Long RX18,
So goodbye to crystals,
It would mean a newer Heng Long Transmitter to match the RX18 MFU but it is still plug and play,
That is the easy way and probably the cheapest but not necessarily the best.

indeed it is a very easy manipulation, but maybe not the best? all depend on what you want to do with your tank?

And the battery would need changing to 7.2 or 7.4 depending on which RX18 was acquired.

Like I said in the other thread. I had this problem, and it was caused by a faulty firing control on the transmitter. The other common fault that causes this is a sticking micro switch on the bb unit.

Hello :D
9.6 volts? not sure that this very old type of RX accepts this voltage :'( 8O As suggested by "son of a shooter" check that the small switch on the side is not blocked or that the two fuls touch each other
