Heng long 2.4 challenger sound failure

Post by Sub »

Hello Chaps.
A rather puzzling thing has occurred.
Whilst using my new challenger from March this year the sound has failed during use.
All other controls respond as normal from the hand set but no sound what so ever.
Tried a different speaker but zippo nothing

Every thing else is fine.
Any one come accross this before...appears like an rx failure on the sound chip to me..any ideas

Update.
Checked the rx 18 MFU and it was getting hot right next to the speaker connection which i believe is where the sound chip is...so looks like it has over heated and blow itself..
Only used once since bought 4 mths ago...so will contact retailer.

Retailer contacted and new Rx MFU sent and all is now working..have fitted an old RX18 cover that I had modified yrs ago with a nice big fan attached so should help keep it all a lot cooler now.
