Hello all !
I have my first RC tank, an Heng Long Sherman M4
I have an issue with it since yesterday, it doesn't go straight forward, the right track is not moving as fast as the left one
I checked if something was wrong with the tracks or gear box but nothing.
I inverted the wires from the motors to the transmitter and the problem switch to the left.
What can I suspect now ? A transmitter or crystal problem ?
Thank you
Heng Long Sherman don't go straight

Do you have a trim on the tax you can adjust?

I transfered the wires from the cn6 to the cn7 of the mfu, so the back become forward and the pb transfered to the left.
The trims on my transmitter are stuck in place, impossible to use...

If the problem switches sides when you swap the wires over, you can rule the gearboxes out. It could possibly be the motors though, they may be timed differently (i.e. they are faster in one direction than the other). You can get replacement motors cheaply, they should only be a few Euros each.
Does the tank super spin faster in one direction than the other?

I concur with son-of-a-gunner
Check the trim first. It’s quite easy to move it by accident.
If the tank went straight at first, then only a catastrophic failure of one of the motors will let it start to veer off suddenly if the trim hasn’t changed position.
And if the motors are shot, it’s only about 10€ to get two far better Taigen replacements. ( the ones with the blue end-bell)

Hello all
I finally replaced the RX18 board and it works !
It seems that I toasted it on rough terrain. Next time I will be more careful ! Thanks for your help !

Maybe it's an idea to cut a hole in the top of the RX18 and glue a small fan to it. split it from the smoker port or something. In my experience that really helps when the MFU starts to cook in heavy grass, or mud and such.Alextrados wrote:Hello all
