mk2 &3 transmitter differences.

Post by wadsworthj »

Hi Guys.
I have a problem that others might be having.

I purchased a kt tank with 2.4 installed and everything worked fine.
Later, I installed a heng long 2.4 twin sound transmitter set purchased separately, and now everything works fine, except the cannon fire and elevation. these do not function.
I have stripped the turret , and checked all wiring, and soldering and find nothing amiss.
Has anyone had the same experience ? and does this mean it is a difference in the wiring between those sold with the normal 2.4 and the 2.4 with the new sound board.
Any help would be helpful.
thanks in advance.

Cannon fire is hold top right (left?) button down & push stick up as they've removed the safety switch in the turret.

Stick up/down moves the elevation so there must be a wire changed somewhere.

Hi There.

Thanks for the reply, it helps . the left stick is actually traversing the turret, and side to side produces a swishing sound and no operation of the elevation.
nothing has been done to the wiring as far as I know. will try out the instructions you gave me.

Didn't Herman do a swap? I'll also try and get some pics from my T90.

Just to confirm, you're using the new RX board too?

Hi.
Belay that . it has a white panel on the front, not plain one.
Sorry.

Not sure that matters - is the receiver the new one too?

yes. the trans with the white front have a much better sound board.
I returned the tank to the tx / rx set up it came with, and all worked as it should.

OK, I'll try again tonight - commute went on a lot longer than planned so it was a choice of eating or wiring!

OK, it looks like all the elevation wires go into the 8-pin as expected. I've got some pics but have no idea what each wire does (you might need the connector block for this one. The two wires that come out of the back of the BB unit go straight to one of the two 5-pin slots on the board: unfortunately I don't know which ones.....

Pics when I manage to shrink them!
