Just out of curiosity, wouldn't this be an excellent time to put some decent Electronics in that bad boy? Even the new V2 mfu from Imex/Taigen would be better than those old eye poker 27 megahertz jobs.

You might want to look around and see if anyone has some 2.4 stuff. They usually go pretty cheap for used sets.
When FDR coined the phrase "The Arsenal of Democracy", he was talking about Detroit. Proud to live in the 2nd most violent city in America!!

just a quick update.

A new set of 03 crystals turned up yesterday and a replacement transmitter from Howes models (£14.99 inc postage)
and I`m pleased to report that the Tiger is now running again.

Cheers

Cheers for all the comments and suggestions chaps.

Just before the transmitter went in the bin I did put a meter across the battery pack
And all seemed to be powered up correctly.

Also just to be clear about a few things, it may of sounded like I got the transmitter and crystals from Howes models but that's not correct, the transmitter came from Howes but "Forgebear" Dave sent me the new crystals.

Cheers everybody
