Cooling for Elmod Fusion X

Post by Sam_Patmore »

Hi All,

Finally pulled the trigger on getting an elmod and now happily waiting for it to be delivered! My question is, does the board get quite hot? I'm going to get a case printed up for it and I have a couple of small fans that I could mount to it in intake - exhaust configuration to maintain airflow. Does the board get warm enough to warrant me installing fans? Or is passive cooling good enough?

Thanks!

I would wait and see if one is necessary. It depends on your motor choice, tank weight and driving environment etc. I’ve never had heat issues with my Elmod Fusion Pro and my tank is fairly heavy and I drive it like it was stolen.
