Elmod fusion pro, poor driving. Help!

Post by Rad_Schuhart »

Hi everybody,

I had an elmod fusion pro gathering dust and then I finally installed it in the tank, I am having big problems configuring driving and steering.
It is frustrating me a lot, because I usually have no problems with any rc electronics or programming the radio.
So far I can trigger all the extra sounds, lights, weapons and turret functions... But what is driving me crazy is the driving part.
I think it might be something related with the elmodd app and the options there, but no matter what I do or what I try it seems I cannot drive propperly.

When I drive fowards I have no or next to no steering. When stopped it spins too much, even if I release the spin stick, it keeps spinning a second or two.
Can somebody update a screenshot of the driving section in the app, so I can copy it? It is for a medium tank.

Hope is just something bad configured and not a faulty board!

sounds like you just need to swap your channels around on your receiver?

I agree it sounds like a channel mixup, when you first calibrated the track direction on the throttle stick did the tracks spin in different directions until they both engaged in correct full forward Rad?
Tanks alot....

Hi, the channels are ok. I can drive back and forth with no problem, but turning is just not possible dont know why

I reseted the board to defaults several times, I tried what you suggested me of swaping channels and still nothing...

What I am mising is the calibrating part that you mention. Where it is? I cannot find it in the software. I am also uploading a video right now. hope throws some light.

Oh my godness... I solved the problem with your help. I tried again swapping channel 1 and 2... and also triple checking the tamiya motor wires, and then I saw it!
I connected the two motors as follows: Red (+) With yellow. Black (-) With green...
Well, one motor had to be red with yellow and black with green, and then the other the oposite!!!

I spent hours hitting my head against the radio, against the computer, against the wall, and it was just this stupid mistake. I feel so dumb...

Thanks guys!

Yeah, me too, it only took me 6 hours, lol.
The thing is, the problem I was having was exactly the same as the one I had back in the day with the IBU 3... I think it was exactlythe same behaviour...

But in the IBU 3, it ended to be a faulty board, arrived with a faulty mosfet from factory, so thats why I thought I was having the same fate here...
