When you say it doesn't work, what is happening?
I use Windows for Elmod configuration, it's the one and only use I have for the OS, I use Linux for everything else, hence my laptop has a dual boot OS, the desktop is pure Linux.
On the Windows desktop I have two versions of the Elmod software, depending on the firmware on the board I am programming, one version will work ok, but I have to use a different version of the Elmod software to program the other. It seems that an advancement in the firmware/board design has rendered the older firmware/boards incompatible, and I can't be bothered to upgrade the firmware on the incompatible one.
The various versions of firmware and configuration software can be downloaded, so it might be worth trying various combinations. Details of what has been changed with various releases are here:
