I only just found out that this thread is still here. lol.

Ok, since this was started Elmod have gone through several developmental stages with their boards.

They are now on the Fusion Eco and Fusion Pro.

You can use whatever motors you want, and even plug in external esc's to handle anything that the board isn't designed to cope with.

Their prices are also pretty good now, as the motor drive, sound, and battle system are all on one board. The sound can be configured on a pc, via a usb link too.

This is an example of the new system:

and their website is

W.W.,
That is _so_ what I would like my WSN T34 to end up sounding like and functioning as one of these days. ;o) Pretty amazing!

This link explains what the NextGen sound system does.

http://www.rceifel.de/forum/showthread.php?t=8151

The nicest thing is the mechanical grind as a tank changes gear, and the lurch as the next gear is selected. These are very clever boards now. All of the sound files are free to download, plus of course you can make your own. I used to do this, not easy I admit, but great fun once I had the hang of it.

The NextGen sound files are backwards compatible, so if you have an Elmod system, you can download the new ones.

I sold my Elmod boards with the tanks that they were in, but I am now tempted to get a Fusion Eco to see what they are like.

Yes, it's going quite slowly. I need to attach the sponsons to the hull next but not really decided on a way to do it. I've done some detail work but waiting to see the reviews of the ETO gearboxes before I commit to much else. That and the money I was going to spend on the ESC and gearboxes would be most of the cost of the Tamiya Type 10 which I really really want. Such a beautiful looking kit. That and I've really got back into DCS World. Learning those planes again is very time consuming.

I was looking forward to that one...understand though the new Tamiya kit looks awesome....I was thinking of getting hold of a static Leopard 1 a4 and thinking of some electronic options for that....

The 1A4 looks pretty easy to convert. I think if I was to do one I'd go for a Canadian Leopard 1 C2.
