Hello,
I do not know whether this topic should be listed here or under the RC Airplane category.
Here it is:
1)
I was wondering whether anyone has sought to combine RC Tanks and RC Airplane models,
for instance in a Youtube Video, where an airplane would strafe the tank
2)
Concerning scale :
The Guillows company produces its so-called 400 line which equates to the 1/16 scale which is the commenest scale for RC Tanks (HL, Tamiya and so forth)...
Therefore, no conflict as to scale between tank and aircraft models.
3)
It is claimed that Balsa models such as those made by the Guillows company are relatively easy to build.
I briefly attempted to build a FW 190 model but I do not have the patience.
However, I am not the most talented model builder and I botched it up.
However, please take my experience and opinion with a grain of salt.
Still, this would be a fun project, for anyone who has the patience for it.
For anyone interested, here is a link to the Guillows Company website :

Cheers

A pleasant surprise having not seen this video before!. There are some excellent 'Hobart's Funnies' in action but, for me, the swimming DD Sherman steals the show!. Could that one be the example made here by our member, 'Fred The French', I wonder?Kaczor wrote:Planes over battefield would be cool. Like on this amazing D-Day event:

Re: Combining RC Tanks and Airplanes
Well, my 1/18 aircraft regularly engage with tanks in battle or provide air cover. Then, too, the other regular Tuesday modelers fly their 1/48th WWII planes. I have noticed that although none of our aircraft are RC, and even thought the ceiling is quite low, these various-sized planes do make an amazing array of sounds, climbing, diving, strafing, bombing, crashing, etc. But then, we are all in our second childhood.
