PRINCE PHILIP

Post by HERMAN BIX »

From one Commonwealth member to a lot of others, my family forwards its deepest respect & condolences to members of the Royal Family and Her Majesty for the passing of her companion and friend , The Duke of Edinburgh .

I will remember where I was when this news broke, inevitable, but sad none the less.

A mans man who despite the restrictions of his position never failed to call a pail an ffing Bucket,
A good and loyal husband and father and a massive supporter of the British Armed Forces as well as the Commonwealth with which he maintained a very close relationship. R I P.

Speaking as an outsider, he was always my favorite royal family member. Wasn’t afraid to drop the F bomb.

And yet he was Greek. Proof that outsiders can embrace what it means to be British. Possibly the most British of them all.

Given his lineage, probably more German than Greek?

A man whom I have great respect for. A true Gentleman with just enough rough edges to let us know he was real.

God's speed.
Eric.
