Just channel scanning and stumbled across the start of this year's LeMans 24hrs. No big 'Vettes rumbling around this year but still a good spread of top prototypes and GTs to watch. Less than an hour in and they are righting them off already! Take your time lads ;)

The decoration of officials Aston Martin is very beautiful. I am just to 150kms from Le Mans and I can' t go. So sad to see this race without public...

In France the race is retransmitted on tv only fews hours if you don' t have Eurosport. Pathetic.

A link if you are interested with differents cameras ( pitlane, speaker, box, paddock etc...), with live comments, but not the race.... >:<

24 hours of Le Mans is my other passion. First time when I was 1 or 2 years old begin of eighties ( off course, I don' t remember :haha: ). Second time 1994 with first time the Viper!!! The first time completely 24 hours on circuit, 1999 with the Toyota GT ONE. My regret, don' t have seen 1998...

Every year, except 4 or 5 times since 1999, I have always going to this race.

My youngest son with 2 Aston Martin from my collection of about 80 90 models. As you can see (models and tee shirt), I have a weakness for Aston. And I think, there will have a new next year... Sorry for chocolate on tee shirt. :D :D

Funnily enough I watched Le Mans 66 with Matt Damon and Christian Bale the other night, cracking film, well worth a watch!

I do like the new Astons.

Don’t think an American car has won since the GT40 in the sixties...

Effectively, to the general, no american car since Ford in 1969.

That’s what they must have meant :)

Thanks Fred!

So what's keeping the Corvette out of the race this year? Shortsighted regulation changes? There's nothing quite like standing opposite the pits and listening to a huge V8 thundering down the Mulsane. Keeps you awake at 4am! Missing it.. :(
