How many of us collect real tank-parts as well? Show 'em!

Post by Marco Peter »

I was wondering... How many of us collect real tank-parts as well?

Since I got interested in tanks I slowly started to collect real parts as well! Couldn't help myself. ;-)

Image
One is BRAND NEW!

Image
PzII. I have three, the rest is with friends now.

Image
Same Panther track before cleaning, and also a Panther 1 track. PzIII/IV C-hook. And more.

Image
Panther/Tiger/Köti C-hook, jokingly shown with a 1/16 and 1/6 scale C-hook. :-P

You got some too?
Show 'em! :-)
1:16 was my scale. Until 'Konan' came into my life... an Armortek 1:6 Tiger 1!
... Now followed by a Panther G, 'Gunther'!

I'm a happy man. 8)

To us Brits things like that are like rocking horse shit, we would all love a panzer track or two for our man caves, but unless you’ve more money than Donald Trump the likelihood of actually getting one is on the lower side of zero

I too have trod the hallowed ground of many various significant battlefields in Europe.
Been tempted by the opportunity to return with hard memento's of days gone by, but the cost, emotion, and subsequent border protection issues are just not worth the risk outside of Europe.

Memories of my feet on ground that have been stained by blood and loss, by a mothers Son, and by a nations remorse keep me in check.
I was an avid firearm collector back in the day, but when that day dawned on me that real mens hands, blood, and the future they and their families never had were probably sacrificed upon that weapon's wood and steelwork............I changed.

Heavy?- probably.
True?- Probably

Really? I spent 30 Euro on a PzI or 40 Euro on a PzII track...

I agree Panther tracks are a lot more expensive.

Left an unused Panther track, right a heavily used one. Look at the difference in Ice Cleats! :-)

I just primed the pin you see in red, after making it rust-free, to be painted black. It came with the rusty one on the right.
