Some years back a road in Milton Keynes changed over the weekend from having priority to becoming a give way,
I was sitting in a company car park when a Reliant Regal having not noticed the change in the junction layout drove straight out and across the front of an AEC Mandator and 30 foot trailer,
A poorly handling 3 wheeler quickly became an even worse handling 2 wheeler,
No one hurt, :'(
The police arrived and one of the constables had to ask the lorry driver to please stop laughing.
Well it made my day as well as the truck drivers.
Shaun.
I think I am about to upset someone :haha:

Is this the V70 2.3 T5 260 BHP? I do love a wolf in sheep's clothing, especially when the boy racer can't get your image out of his mirror, or better still, when he diminishes in yours lol.

They really don't expect a big ol estate to perform that well
Ooh yes! I believe it's an ex armed response car which meant it had been well looked after but with less holes cut in it than a standard ex plod one.

I had an ex-NSW Highway Patrol VE SS Commodore for several years, it'd been taken care of so well that I didn't realise it had been a police car until a panelbeater pointed out the modifications to me. I guess when they basically live in the car, they've got to look after it. It was a beautiful machine, and I still miss the sound of the 6.0L V8 in full song.

I didn't do much mechanically to it besides a 3" stainless exhaust system, but I lowered it 2" and sat it on 20" rims; 10" wide on the rears to try and maintain contact with the road.

I know there's no replacement for displacement, but I've got a new XR6 Turbo. There's something really satisfying and fun about the power delivery with a turbocharged engine, it's almost like being slingshotted. And while it's no V8 roar, the forced induction of a big turbo spooling up pleases the ear too.

Might not have the same presence as the SS, but it's certainly a lot more comfortable and practical. It's nice being able to go over speedbumps again.

Nice Commodore!
I had a wee play with its predecessor which we called the Monaro in the UK, but was basically a re-badged Holden with a Vauxhall badge on front. It had a 6.0L LS2 i think it was with 330hp or something. Was nice and i liked it.
I did tease my wife and suggest selling her Mini as down payment for a what we call a Vauxhall VXR-8(Commodore), but she wasn't keen at the time.

My wife has just left me and says she wants that man with the Mustang!
Wouldn't worry she wouldn't play with your tanks if she can have the Stang haha.

Hi Chaps, over here in the UK we have a novel thing called “bends”
I know you’ve got “one” in San Francisco but we have them everywhere.
They follow the terrain of the countryside or avoid properties, you can see round some of them but most you can’t, so you have no idea what sort of retard is coming in the opposite direction!
We have smaller cars to give us turning circles small enough to actually make it around the cornersImage
