i am pretty sure my SD.KFZ.251 drive flanges are stuck in the chaos caused by this monumental f _ _ _ up, but accidents happen
so once they are caught up with shipping traffic etc i might actually be able to finish the darn 251 hahahahahahahaha

You could well be right Will, but those little SD.KFZ.251 drive flanges can be damned awkward little critters. They might even have been the cause of the incident. Still we won't hold you responsible for the multi billion dollar damages - we try to look after our mates ;)

You may now even have time to sit down and enjoy a well deserved restful cup of coffee!

The ship that was to blame for the foul up has been arrested in the inner lake while the Egyptian Government demands £900,000 in damages and costs,
Your parts might take a little longer getting to you

I think you ran out of zeros, Shaun. The demand is for $900 million. It has been a very very long time since there were 10 dollars to the pound! I don't think there was ever a time when it was 1000 dollars.

I understand that last night on some late night TV show here in the US, a comic pointed out that the Egyptian government's price is "some kind of pyramid scheme."

I can appreciate that financial damages will need to be sorted but first you have to establish blame. For example, it could be argued that the canal owners should have not allowed the ship to enter the passage if the canal was not suitable for such large ship, which is another way of saying the ship that big should never have been built - which is what the press keep saying. This aside...

What about all the people and companies which have had their possessions and stock impounded by the Egyptian government (no, not a political opinion!). They are both completely innocent and probably completely unawares!
