Hi from Leeds England

Post by tk1608 »

Hi all

Just joined so saying hello.
I’ve had a Tamiya Sherman for ages, a very early one with no gadgets at all. Recently bought a couple of heng long, a tiger 1 and a King Tiger.
Thinking of repainting them so I’ll post some pics here, if I can figure out how to do that.

Anyway, thanks for letting me join.
Cheers
Phil

Hi Phil, Welcome to the Forum
The Tiger 1 is a good choice of Tank with more upgrades available for it than for any other 1/16 r/c Tank,
Before you start painting I would suggest you trawl the many pages of the Forum where you will get a lot of help.
Ask lots of questions and please join in the threads that take your eye.
I think I am about to upset someone :haha:

Welcome from the Highlands of Scotland  I spent a few years as a wain ('nipper' to the English), living in Knaresborough, in the 1950s. I recall visits to Leeds, and seeing all the bomb damage. Mind you, Glasgow, where my family is from, also had rows of bare foundations that houses used to sit on. :eh:
Enjoy the Forum, and your new acquisitions. Be prepared (like a Scout), however, for a large influx of models in the addicted future. :D

Greetings from across the pond! "Tamiya Sherman...early one with no gadgets...a couple of heng long, a Tiger 1 and a King Tiger." Now that, sir, is an excellent start! Yes, I will gawk at photos, too. And there are gobs (is that an Americanism?) of photos and loads of advice here on RCTW. You are certainly welcome!
