I remember the Saracen was a popular run a round in NI back in the 70s, the Saracens on the news were mostly on fire.
All the best

Don't forget the Humber Pig, proof if it was needed that Alvis quality engineering was always of a higher standard than Rootes Group products,
The Saracen unlike the Pig would burn with a far less toxic flame whereas the pig was just hours of black smoke

The B60 like all the "B" Class engines were very thirsty but they were reliable and a forward workshops dream because almost every part on the B40.B60 and B80 engines were interchangeable, Head, Camshafts, Carbs, all the electrics including the distributer, (The cap was full with brass contacts to handle the Champs 4 cylinder B40 right through to the 8 cylinder B80:haha):

Welcome!! Please remember to oil up for the Initiation Ritual later. Do not be alarmed; the goat is part of the ritual and has signed a waiver. Have you signed your waiver?

Hi NYK999

I, new too.... I used to be into rc boats and have previously built a type IX, a Brit S Class and have a half finished 7’ type VII in the garage....

Never got into planes...

But also have an old MV... in my case a Willy’s Overland 1/4 Ton.

It’s not the Goat you have to worry about, it’s the jar of Vaseline....
