Well hello everybody
Greetings from Texas all. New to the hobby again. Recently finished my first Tamiya, a type 10. Currently working on converting a HL Leo to leopard 2e. Also working on an aluminum DKLM Leo, waiting on it’s brain to get back from the shop.

Welcome. Where at in TX? I'm just outside Austin and some tankers will be getting together at Bomber Field this weekend on the 17th.

Re: Well hello everybody
Well my truck is still in the shop getting $11,000 of hail damage fixed on it so I can't fit many tanks in my 2021 Mazda Miata (MX-5 for those of you on the other side of the pond).

I’m in SA. I’d love to get up to Bomber Field one of these days. It’s quite a drive.

Hello, Shag' Welcome to the nuthouse. One of your local newspapers says San Antonio is a place "as comfortable as an old pair of jeans." I was comfortable there on a visit about a decade ago--although the cab ride from the Amtrak station to the University was fifty bucks! Just take your private jet to Bomber Field.

Welcome to the Forum
So pleasing to have a member of the Empire with us although in truth I would not even give a moment's thought to driving from SA (South Africa) to anywhere on another continent merely for a Tank meet
Enjoy the Forum.

Yeah it takes me about an hour and 20 minutes to get there from Austin. If you go during one of the flyins with the R/C plane guys it's quite worth the trip. They had a flyover of a real P-51 Mustang and a couple of other WW2 planes last time.Shagnifico wrote:I’m in SA. I’d love to get up to Bomber Field one of these days. It’s quite a drive.
