Greetings from Kitchener Ont Canada

Post by Robert Johnson »

Always been a fan of military hardware. Should joined military when I was a kid. But went to university to study engineering. I have a collection rc military aircraft which I have built. Mostly large scale. 1/4 scale and up. At the moment I have two tamiya 1/16 full option kits which I intend to build. Which are the Tiger 1 and M4 Sherman. In my travels I picked up a 1/16 Sturmmoerser Tiger, which I plan to bring up to proper standards. I may be nuts but I just ordered a Mato
Heng Leng 1/16 All metal King Tiger. The price was really good. So I will see what you really get for this price. I only ordered the static version, because the electronics didn't look very good. Thanks Robert . Stay safe and Healthy.

Hello and welcome to the forum Robert

Oh dear, appears that you've already ended up on the slippery slope.

I'm sure we'll all be interested to hear what you think of your metal Heng Long Tiger when it turns up.

Now, I must ask you, was it due to a typo, or are you actually 99 years of age 8O

Enjoy the forum.

What I understand is there are a few factories in China that cast these parts. Then the Chinese brand name companies purchase these parts to construct their own brand. Tweaking them to make there own flavor. So that's why I purchased a bare bones version. As most of these copy's are a copy of tamiya. Which is very expensive 1300.00 and up Canadian. Also very hard to find. I also find electronics in most Chinese tanks are poor quality. If you want real quality. You could buy 1/8 scale tanks which are prohibited expensive. You only get what pay for. No deals in this planet. Regarding my age. I am as old as dirt.
