Hello there...

Post by DonCarlos »

Well, it took lockdown for me to finally decide that it's no good to keep wanting a Tamiya RC tank. I have to buy one and build it. So, Christmas present to self was the 56028 KV-1. Been building and painting the last two weeks. Now doing shakedown tests before final paint, weathering etc. Still trying to work out the right combination of channels and functions for my Futaba T6L Radio gear. Haven't built a model since I was a teenager (in the 70's!) so it's good to smell that polystyrene cement again!

Hello DC!

I guess Covid is good for something!? :/

Nice first tank, if not a little pricey. Should be very nice! Do show us some pics when you get her all sorted out!

Glad to have you on board!

Regards,
Eric.

Welcome, DC, so you like the smell of polystyrene cement in the mornings, then, do you? Yes, it brings back old memories- and old headaches too.
It sounds as if you're having a full-on build experience with it. Just be careful that when it's finished, the post-build, post-rush, anticlimax doesn't kick in, and impel you to buy another Tamiya. :D

Hello and welcome to the forum Mr DonCarlos

It is rather good to rekindle old hobbies from way back, I loved building kits back in the early 70's. And I guess you jumped right in with a 1/16th Tamiya tank kit

Enjoy the forum.
