Hello All!

Post by TrackLink »

Hi All,

I received a Heng Long Sherman M4A3 for Christmas, and I've just finished sticking on its decals and accessories (pic below) So far I've had a tonne of fun driving it around the garden and shooting at tin cans.

I found this forum and thought I'd join, to pick up tips on maybe weathering the paint job and such. I used to work on and drive armour back in the day (not tanks though - I was on an FV436) so I'm enjoying the nostalgia. Look forward to learning more and getting into the hobby.

Cheers!

TL

Hello TL and welcome to the forum  nice looking Sherman you have there, beware though, this hobby can become very addictive very quickly and before you know it you have more tanks than you know what to do with :haha:

Cheers,Lee.

Hello.

Sherman’s. So much can be done with them.
That particular one does look quite good weathered here’s an example of my version of that thank, it has a light mud wash on as though it’s been sprayed up off the road whilst in convoy, for other Sherman ideas though, there’s a few builds going on that maybe of interest

Welcome, TL
There's no shortage of nostalgia in some of the threads you can follow here and, like surfin' the 'Net, it's easy to get happily diverted by some of them. Do note the earlier warning, though, about how this subtly addictive hobby can creep up on you (must be the camo... :problem: :haha: ). Do enjoy yourself
