Hey Guys!
My Name is (T)Obi, 30 years old and master Boilermaker by trade. I worked for the Australian Armour and Artillerymuseum in Cairns where I was responsible for the restoration of the Hummle. I spend a few Month in the Museum in Munster just to measure everything and make all the Cad drawings we needed to get our "mess" back together.
After a Year in Australia I went back to Germany but didnt really had time to get back into Tanks. But Now i´m back!
My first Project is a M4A1E8 with a late T23 turret. I got a old Tamiya Full option tank for 280 € and will replace basically everything exept the lower Hull and the Suspension.
Really looking forward to geek out again.
Hope you have a great weekend! stay safe and healthy!
Cheers!

Servus, Obi, and Welcome!
I think, that there are many here who would love to work on a full-size restoration project! For sure, I would! Lucky man!
Thanks for the photos, and do post more when you can.
Details will be handy for 1/16 scale projects!...and other scales, naturally!. They're also good to goggle at

Hello and welcome to the forum Obi
Wow, only 30 and the envy of a lot of the forum. Very cool project to be a part of
If you're looking for a turret for your E8 build, probably the best one which so happens is made to fit a Tamiya hull, is one from the States by a man called Nick Aguilar. If you're interested I'll send you his details via PM.
Enjoy the forum.
Mick.
